Dr Fiona Martin is an Educational and Developmental Psychologist with over 20 years of clinical experience in a range of mental health difficulties and disorders and expertise in neurodevelopmental disorders.

She is the Director and Principal Psychologist of Psychological Solutions (Australia), Board Approved Supervisor and a Single Expert Witness for matters heard in the Federal Circuit and Family Law Courts of Australia.

Dr Martin has shown clinical leadership across various settings. She has led and supported teams of psychologists, designed and delivered research, intervention programs, outreach services, digital health projects, developed public policy, and provided systemic advocacy.

As Chair of the first Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Committee during her time in Federal Parliament, Dr Martin led an inquiry into Australia’s mental health system and produced key recommendations for reform while also contributing to the Health, Disability (NDIS) and Family Law Committees and an inquiry into Family and Domestic Violence. She advocated for protective behaviours and consent education in Australian schools and in 2023 she was appointed to The Federal Department of Education’s National Respectful Relationships and Consent Education Expert Working Group.

Dr Martin is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), endorsed in Educational and Developmental Psychology. She holds membership of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS) and Fellow of the Australian Psychological Society College of Educational and Developmental Psychologists (FCEDP). She holds membership of the Pacifica Congress, Australian Educational and Developmental Psychology Association (AEDPA) and the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD). She is on the Scientific Advisory Board of FSHD Global Research Foundation, Advisor to Australians for Mental Health and Little Blue Dinosaur Foundation and Patron of the Multicultural Disability Advocacy Association of NSW.

She is skilled in a range of therapeutic approaches and diagnostic assessments. She offers training and professional development opportunities, including presenting at conferences and panel presentations, and supervision to psychologists.
